Jeff is one of the founding partners of MedEquity Capital. Jeff has significant experience in the urgent care and related sectors as well as other physician-oriented businesses.
Jeff is currently the CEO at Tristan Medical Care Centers, an operator of seven primary care clinics in Southeastern Massachusetts. He is also the Chairman and Chief Strategy Officer of AppleCare Immediate Care where he formerly spent nearly three years as the Chief Executive Officer. AppleCare operates over a dozen urgent care centers in South and middle Georgia. Jeff also has extensive experience in oncology-related businesses, pharmaceutical services and technology, and late-stage medical devices and other products. He brings significant financial experience and is typically involved in any of MedEquity’s more structurally complicated transactions. He has served as a director of LeadScope, Inc., VelQuest Corporation, OnCure Medical Corp., AppleCare Immediate Care, LiceGuard, and Tristan/Massachusetts Immediate Care.
Prior to joining MedEquity, Jeff was a Vice President in the Healthcare Investment Banking Group of PaineWebber Incorporated. While at PaineWebber, he executed over $4 billion in financing and merger and acquisition advisory transactions for a broad range of companies across the healthcare services and life sciences sectors. Prior to joining PaineWebber, he was a Vice President of Acadian Asset Management, a quantitative international equity investment management firm in Boston. He is a graduate of Colby College and the Darden School of Business Administration at the University of Virginia. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and a member of the CFA Institute.
